Selah: Reflections from Scriptures – Danie Markgraaff
SELAH – REFLECTIONS FROM SCRIPTURE is the author’s product of more than five years of devotional and Biblical reflection blog posts. Born from experiences in the ministry and mission field, Danie felt the need to encourage believers to hold fast to the Lord and to His Word despite the circumstance and situation. The reflections started on Twitter to build a network of followers and share daily messages. The permissible 140 characters proved to be too limited for significant reflection on verses from Scripture, and Danie created a blog to post the reflection links on social media. Soon comments and likes came in from far and away and also close to home.
Regular followers of the blog posts expressed the need for it to be reduced into book form.
SELAH – REFLECTIONS FROM SCRIPTURE is a compilation of 30 posts selected from the posts during 2020 and is published as an introductory volume. Other volumes will follow in due course and will be structured into reflections on specific Bible Books.
The book is not a theological study to convince people of the author’s opinion. Nor is it a work of apologetics. However, any work related to Scripture will touch on those disciplines, however small it may be. The purpose of the reflections captured in these pages is to encourage and inspire people to reflect on God’s Word by themselves to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and thereby allow the Holy Spirit to become their Teacher. The only true Teacher that we as Believers have.
May you experience the blessing of God’s Word and the Shalom peace that only God can give through our relationship with Jesus Christ
